Home2own was established in April 2006 by West Mercia Housing. We are the appointed HomeBuy agent for Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

Home2own offer a range of low cost home ownership products developed to make home ownership more affordable and help people get started on the property ladder. These schemes are designed for those on moderate income who want to own their own home. As HomeBuy agent we aim to provide a one stop shop service to people interested in any of the new build HomeBuy schemes being built across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. If you are interested in a new home we will process applications and check that you are eligible for HomeBuy schemes. We will then keep your details on a central register and make them available to the housing associations building new homes in the region.

As well as new homes we also run the popular Open Market HomeBuy scheme. If you qualify for the scheme this requires you to fund 75% of the purchase price of any house for sale on the open market and we provide you with the remaining 25% as an equity loan. The loan is then repaid at a later date at 25% of the current market value of the property.

Due to the high levels of demand for this scheme we have recently launched a series of new HomeBuy products in association with Herefordshire and Worcestershire local authorities. These schemes operate in a similar way to the national scheme with the 25% equity jointly funded by West Mercia Housing and the local authority.
